Your flowers into art

A wonderful keepsake of your special day.

Flower Preservation is a beautiful way to preserve a small part of your special day forever and is an important step to consider when planning your occasion. Wild Petals Boutique offers custom flower preservation for weddings and other special occasions. We preserve your flowers in resin in many shapes and sizes to create beautiful keepsakes from your special day.

We are located in the Foothills of Southern Alberta, and mostly serve Calgary and surrounding areas. However, our services are available Canada-wide.

  • Absolutely! The flowers have to be dried prior to preserving in resin, so whether they are air dried or I dry them with silica gel, I can work with your flowers! The method of drying will affect the appearance of the flowers, air dried will give more of a wrinkled, vintage look. Whereas drying with silica gel maintains the shape and color most similar to fresh flowers.

  • Of course! Using a photo of your bouquet we can source the same/similar flowers from our preferred florists and use those flowers to create a piece for you.

  • I recommend using FedEx Overnight shipping. From experience this is the best option.

  • The best way to package the bouquet is to place the stems of the bouquet into a small box that has a hole cut out the size of the stems, this will allow the bouquet to stand up right inside of a bigger box. You can also add some slightly damp paper towel around ONLY the end of the stems covered by plastic wrap (ONLY on the end of the stems) to give the flowers a little water during shipping. Fill any extra space gently but fairly tightly with newspaper, tissue paper, packing peanuts or some other soft breathable filler to prevent shifting during shipping. DO NOT cover the flowers in plastic.

  • For sure! I can include jewelry, brooches, broken glass, ribbon, sand, shells, invitations, photos, etc. If you are wondering if something else will work send me an email!

  • Yes! I can create a piece using faux flowers as well.

  • The resin I use does have UV protection, however, some yellowing of resin can be expected over time. I always recommend keeping piece out of direct sunlight and away from high temperature to minimize any yellowing as well as any fading of flowers.

  • I recommend booking as soon as you have a wedding date and decide you would like your flowers preserved. I can only take a limited number of bouquets each week, and during the busy season these spots can fill up quickly.

  • My turn around time is estimated at 6-10 months. Some orders may be completed sooner, some larger orders or order during peak wedding season may take longer to complete. Preserving your bouquet with the high attention to detail it requires to produce a stunning piece takes time, please be patient, it will be worth it once you receive your finished piece.
